Utilization Management

MED3OOO provides IPAs with a multi-faceted UM program that ensures the delivery of medical services at the appropriate level of care in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.  Our UM staff follows uniform policies and procedures to authorize services that are covered under an individual’s benefit plan.  We ensure that all services are medically necessary and are consistent with each patient’s diagnosis and required level of care.  Our goals are to monitor, evaluate, and improve continuity and coordination of care for patients in an efficient and effective manner in an effort to reduce overall health care expenditures to IPAs.  The MED3OOO UM program adheres to governmental, payor, accreditation, and regulatory guidelines, standards, and criteria where applicable.
