Richard SchicklerAs Executive Vice President of Physician Services, Systems, and Operations, Richard is responsible for coordinating the company’s offerings to the Physician Practice Services markets. These services include revenue cycle management, practice consulting, and practice operations. Richard joined MED3OOO in 1998 as Vice President of Finance of its Northeast Regional Operation. In 1999, Richard became President of the Northeast operation, where he spearheaded an impressive financial and operational turnaround of the Region. Richard was also responsible for overseeing the transformation of one of the Company’s long-standing clients, a Bridgeport, CT, based physician group, from a primary care based group into a dynamic and growing multi-specialty group, which has over 65 providers. Richard has a proven track record in assisting physician groups to maximize their financial opportunities through strategic planning, operational efficiencies, and group practice oversight. Prior to joining MED3OOO, Richard, a Certified Public Accountant, was the Chief Financial Officer of a national physician practice management company, Avanti Health Systems, a division of NYLCare Health Plans. While at Avanti, Richard was responsible for overseeing the financial turnaround of its $100 million operations, which consisted of 250 physicians in locations throughout the country. Carl SmollingerMr. Smollinger is responsible for MED3OOO’s services to provider networks, health plans, and employers. Carl creates unique opportunities for employers, health systems, physicians, and payors to work together in controlling costs, improving health of employees, and thriving in a post-reform healthcare environment. Throughout his long career in healthcare delivery and financing, he has focused on generating efficiencies and providing value to employers and other payors of healthcare services. As an executive at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, he managed the company’s sales and managed care operations, including its commercial HMO, its Medicare Advantage Plan, and its Dental HMO. As a benefits consultant, he has helped employers throughout the United States design and implement programs that maximize their returns on investment in employee benefits. Prior to his return to MED3OOO Carl served as the president of Insurance Solutions Group, Inc., an independent insurance brokerage and consulting firm headquartered in the greater Pittsburgh, PA, area. The firm specializes in employee benefits and group programs in medical, dental, vision, life, disability, long term care, and voluntary worksite benefit plans, as well as compliance consulting. Jeffery Flocken
Jeffery Flocken serves as Senior Vice President of Accountable Care Development. With a 30 plus year successful career in healthcare Mr. Flocken most recently served 5 yrs with Tenet Healthcare (NYSE:THC). In his role at Tenet he was SVP of the California/Nebraska Region with responsibility for a $2.6B operating budget and 12 acute care hospitals, 6 ASC’s and 9 diagnostic imaging centers. While in the region EBITDA growth occurred through restructuring, asset divestiture and cost management initiatives. Mr. Flocken also successfully negotiated labor agreements with 3 different unions on a statewide basis. He has successfully led physician integration strategies implemented through clinics, PC structures and development of an Accountable Care Organization Pilot with a major insurer. |
Eric SellersEric, Sr. VP of Account Management, has a BS in Business Administration from Barton College in Wilson, NC (1979). He worked at Burroughs Corp (now Unisys) as a Sales Rep/Territory Manager from 1979-80. Eric then went on to Wayne Computer Resources where he was the Manager of Commercial Implementation from 1980-82. He was an original employee shareholder of Medic Computer Systems/Misys Healthcare, now Allscripts, where his career spanned 22 years (82-04) starting as Manager of Training, then VP of Hotline and Tech Support, VP of Client Services, VP of Vision Ops, VP of Corporate Risk, and VP of Client Sales (back to list) |
John WallaceJohn Wallace is Senior Vice President for MED3OOO and President/ COO of MED3OOO Practice Resources (MPR). MPR provides physician management and revenue cycle management to all of the Tenet Health Corporation physicians. John has over 16 years experience in healthcare IT sales leadership, business development and general management. Prior to MED3OOO, Mr. Wallace was Senior Vice President at mPay Gateway where he helped to grow mPay Gateway from a startup to a leading patient payment vendor. John spent six years with Misys Healthcare (now Allscripts) where he served in various leadership roles and worked four years as Director of Planning and Business Development for The Louisiana Clinic, a multi-specialty managed service organization in southern Louisiana. Marc Winchester
Marc Winchester is a veteran of healthcare IT with a successful track record spanning two decades. As President and Board Director of Digital Healthcare, Inc., he has full operational and managerial responsibilities for Digital’s North American operations. Mr. Winchester spent over 22 years with Misys Healthcare Systems, one of the country’s top five healthcare IT companies. His various leadership positions included Senior Vice President of Sales, Senior Vice President of Marketing, and Senior Vice
President of Market Development for Healthcare. While heading the Misys sales organization, the company experienced phenomenal sales growth, including an 80% growth in Electronic Health Records sales over a three year period.

Scott SannerIn this capacity, Mr. Sanner is responsible for the overall growth of MED3OOO’s Technology and Physician Services divisions. Mr. Sanner brings experience spans over two decades in the healthcare services and information technology industry. Before joining MED3OOO, Mr. Sanner served as Business Unit General Manager and Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Implementation for Digital Healthcare. Prior to this, Mr. Sanner served as General Manager of the Clear Practice Division and Senior Vice President of Sales and Implementation at Misys Healthcare Systems (now Allscripts), where he was responsible for all product and service sales and systems implementations. Al SirmonAl Sirmon, a 1973 graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, SC, with a degree in Business Administration, currently holds the position of President for Pathology Service Associates, LLC (PSA). Mr. Sirmon is a Certified Public Accountant and prior to PSA was in public accounting for over 15 years. During the past 15 years, he has been associated with pathology practices and directs all financial services, including billing and collections, for associated practices and billing clients across the country. Mr. Sirmon has served as on a variety of panels dealing with accounting and finance in the healthcare industry and has presented at numerous industry meetings. (back to list) |
Rich Goldberg
Rich Goldberg is responsible for overall strategy and management of CPU, as well as enhancing relationships with new and existing clients. Throughout his career Rich has specialized in solutions for the physician's office. He began as a partner in Elcomp Systems in 1982, responsible for sales and marketing of software and service. After joining Medic Computer Systems in 1994 he launched a new division selling product and services to existing physician customers. While at Misys Healthcare (now Allscripts) he held executive positions in marketing and business development for all venues of care including physician's offices, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and patient's homes. |
Hillary Harlan, J.D., R.N.Hillary is Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer for MED3OOO. An attorney as well as Registered Nurse, Hillary has experience working with physician practices, hospital systems, and long-term care facilities. Prior to joining MED3OOO, she served as Director of Compliance and Legal Services for Preferred Care Partners Management Group, LLP, where she filled the roles of Corporate Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer, and was responsible for licensure, regulatory, and risk management activities. Hillary earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University, then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Texas Tech University. Hillary is responsible for the oversight of the company’s corporate compliance and ethics program, with the goal of making MED3OOO the standard for excellence in compliance. (back to list) |
Steve UraAs Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at MED3OOO, Steve oversees the information systems strategy and infrastructure for MED3OOO’s IT operations, as well as the R&D of MED3OOO’s MED3OOO/IQ™ data warehouse and reporting technology. In addition, he directs the privacy and security initiatives related to all of the company’s information systems and networks. Steve has 30 years of healthcare information systems and software development experience, including an extensive background in commercial software development from product definition through design, coding, implementation, installation, and support. Steve started his career working in information technology for two university-based teaching hospitals in the St. Louis area. During this time, he also founded a healthcare-focused software development and consulting firm which was subsequently purchased by a healthcare software company in Houston, Texas. After seven years in Texas, Steve joined A4 Health Systems in Cary, North Carolina, to refocus the company on the development and delivery of clinical software products. He served on the Board of Directors at A4, and later helped in acquiring its first round of venture funding from the MVP fund led by John McConnell. Steve’s expertise and focus on company growth was instrumental in the acquisition of A4 Health Systems by Allscripts. Historically, he is known for his role in the development of the products known today as HealthMatics ED, EHR, and Ntierprise. Steve also served as Vice President of Development for the HealthMatics product line for Allscripts. Paul McLeod, M.D.Paul has served as Chief Medical Executive for MED3OOO since 2000 and has been instrumental in guiding the clinical focus for the organization. Dr. McLeod has played a significant role in the development of MED3OOO/IQ™, the company’s proprietary data warehouse and reporting tool for improving the cost and quality of health services delivered by physicians. In 1997, Dr. McLeod assembled MED3OOO’s National Care Management Advisory Group, which brings together some of the country’s top practicing physician leaders to discuss key issues affecting the industry and to develop clinical protocols for MED3OOO/IQ™ data warehouse reporting. Dr. McLeod also holds the post of Dean of the Florida State University College of Medicine, Pensacola Regional Campus. Prior to joining MED3OOO, Dr. McLeod functioned as the Medical Director for his Family Practice group in Florida and as MED3OOO Southeast Region’s MSO Medical Director. He also previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor in Family Practice at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Dr. McLeod holds a B.S. degree from Florida State University and an M.D. degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He completed his family practice residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. (back to list) |
Robert GalloRobert Gallo, II, Esq., is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for MED3OOO. Bob had provided outside legal counsel to MED3OOO for over seven years and now represents the company’s legal affairs in-house, including mergers and acquisitions and HIPAA compliance. As a partner at Reed Smith LLP in Pittsburgh, PA, he focused on corporate finance transactions, public and private company mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital finances, private placements of equity securities, federal and state securities law compliance, and equity incentive arrangements. Bob is a 1992 graduate of John Carroll University, where he obtained a B.S.B.A. degree in Accounting. In 1996, he graduated cum laude from Duquesne University Law School of Pittsburgh where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review. Geoff ColemanAs Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, Geoff plays a key role in developing strategic business plans for the company and our clients. He has a long career managing the development of healthcare delivery and financing products and services. As Manager of the Product Management Department at Pennsylvania Blue Shield, he directed the creation of the first statewide medical-surgical Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and Point-of-Service (POS) product in Pennsylvania. He also developed a PPO for vision care services and products. Geoff subsequently moved to Keystone Health Plan West, a Pittsburgh-based HMO, to assume responsibilities as Director of Product Development and Planning. In 1996, he brought his expertise and experience in managed care, insurance, contracting, research, planning, and development to MED3OOO. Geoff is a graduate of Haverford College and earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. (back to list) |
Jay Anders, M.D.As Chief Medical Information Officer for MED3OOO, Jay is involved in supporting the development of the clinical information systems for the organization, including the InteGreat EHR. Dr. Anders leads the EHR Physician Advisory Committee in representing the needs and requirements of the physician community, and serves as an advocate in promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting. Dr. Anders has been a featured speaker in the Healthcare Industry for a number of years, and is an expert in EHR Implementation and Physician Adoption of clinical information systems. Prior to joining InteGreat, Dr. Anders was a member of the Christie Clinic in Champaign, IL, for 17 years and held the positions of President and Medical Director, as well as Department Chair of Internal Medicine. Dr. Anders is a past Medical Director of PersonalCare HMO of Champaign, IL (now Coventry Health) and is a past board member of Provena Health southern service region. Dr. Anders is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Medicine at Chicago, and Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. (back to list) |
Drew HurtAs Vice President of Finance for MED3OOO, Drew oversees the daily financial operations of the company and its subsidiary operations. Drew also oversees company audits and financial statements. Drew has over 10 years experience in the healthcare finance industry. Margie ConleyMargie brings to MED3OOO a solid background in the planning and development of physician organizations and human resources management. Margie started her career by completing a management fellowship program with a large integrated health system. Margie subsequently served as the Director of Planning, Marketing, and Physician Relations at an HCA hospital where she was responsible for medical staff planning and development, physician recruitment, physician practice transition, business development, and strategic planning and marketing. Margie has also been a consultant with a national healthcare consulting firm where she was promoted from a staff consultant to Manager of IPA Services. In this capacity, Margie was responsible for the planning and development of specialty IPAs and for providing consulting services to hospitals and physicians in the formation of Physician Hospital Organizations (PHOs) and Physician Organizations (POs). Margie has also taught and guest lectured in the area of human resource management for health care organizations at local universities and medical societies. Margie was responsible for creating the human resources foundation and organization for MED3OOO and its 2,100 employees. She is currently involved in M & A work for MED3OOO, establishing and monitoring comprehensive human resources for MED3OOO Practice Resources (MPR) as well as other medical groups contracting with MED3OOO, and employee benefits for MED3OOO and all of its affiliated medical groups. Margie holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Planning and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association. Takao (Taka) WatanabeTakao currently serves as Director of the Business Development Division of Mitsui & Co. (USA) Inc., and the MED3OOO-Mitsui liaison. In this role, he took initiative to source and conduct due diligence for new potential investment in the area of Healthcare and Human Capital (Staffing) related businesses. Taka works closely with MED3OOO’s executive management to bridge the synergies with Mitsui, and develop future business opportunities in the Mitsui Healthcare market. Taka was born in Bronxville, New York, but has lived in Japan most of his life except when he returned to U.S.A. to spend a few years here during his upper elementary school days in the states. After completing his law degree from Dokkyo University, in Saitama, Japan, he joined Mitsui in 1993, starting as an Accountant in the General Merchandise Accounting Division, and has been with the organization for the past 15 years. Prior to his current appointment, Taka has worked in Mitsui’s businesses related to the consumer retail sector, developing brand direction and marketing strategy for various luxurious brands in sporting goods, apparel and other lifestyle commodities. Taka has also held the position as Manager in Mitsui’s Investment and Administrative Management Group, supervising and defining strategic plans for all Mitsui consumer related business sectors. Deb ZimkusSenior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management for MED3OOO. Deb has more than 25 years of healthcare experience which bring together a unique combination of technology and physician practice expertise. Deb oversee our entire Central Billing Operations and Revenue Cycle Management services. Deb was the former iLIANT Chief Operating Officer and oversaw their Revenue Cycle Management Operations. She has extensive experience in financial, practice, and operational management, as well as technology management and strategic planning. Previously, she held several executive management positions at Per-Se Technologies (formerly Medaphis), overseeing the operations of both information systems and practice operations for physician clients. Deb holds a B.A. degree in Business Management and Computer Science from Mary Baldwin College. (back to list) |
