InteGreat EHR and MED3OOO Are Committed to Assessing Readiness and Helping Clients Meet Meaningful Use
InteGreat and MED3OOO are committed to helping physicians in your practice meet federal “Meaningful Use” standards with our InteGreat EHR through a customized Client Review and Meaningful Use Audit Program (MAP). Through this program, each client’s account manager will help assess the current level of readiness and develop workflows to ensure compliance with the requirements for subsidies under the HITECH “stimulus” program.
InteGreat and MED3OOO recognize that the “stimulus” program subsidies have significant ramifications for the physician community. We are excited that many of the Meaningful Use criteria align well with our core goals of helping to improve financial, clinical, and operational outcomes for your practice.
Our team has closely monitored the evolution of Meaningful Use criteria since the concept was first announced. With InteGreat EHR having secured pre-market CCHIT 2008 certification, we are well on our way toward meeting the newly proposed requirements. We have invested additional resources to make sure we meet all of the new criteria for Meaningful Use by the end of 2010, in order that our clients might achieve “stimulus” funds in 2011—the first year in which the program is operational.
Meaningful Use will require behavior changes for adoption, which in some cases may be hard to make without a partner that understands physician workflows and the daily management of physician practices. With MED3OOO’s strong background in operations, together with the InteGreat EHR team, we have developed this audit program to assess and identify our clients’ compliance with the 25 determined measurement criteria for Meaningful Use. Do I Qualify?
If you are a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, you may qualify for the HITECH Act incentives. The Medicare incentives apply to physicians only, whereas the Medicaid incentives are expanded to include PAs and NPs. Providers may only submit for one incentive option, either Medicare or Medicaid, and must provide proof they have meaningfully adopted a certified EHR with ePrescribing and comply with clinical quality measures to qualify for the program.
(Note: Physicians working in a hospital environment including anesthesiologists, pathologists, and emergency department physicians are not eligible.)
HR1 Incentives Overview

Medicaid Providers
Who qualifies?
- Physicians whose practice is greater than 30% Medicaid reimbursement
- Nurse practitioners and physician assistants also qualify
- Pediatricians whose practice is greater than 20% Medicaid reimbursement. (Because of the reduced percentage Medicaid and practice, pediatricians are only eligible for 66% of the maximum incentive)
What is the incentive?
- The incentive is calculated based on the exact percentage of Medicaid within the practice
- The maximum is $64,000 – Year One: $25,000, Years 2 through 5: $10,000
Rural Health
- The HITECH act allows for an increased incentive for providers who practice in a rural heath or underserved area. Rural health providers are eligible for a 25% increase over and above their base incentive.
- Providers in designated underserved areas are eligible for a 10% increase above their base incentive.
