“Not Enough Recognition”

This is a time of Thanksgiving. On behalf of MED3OOO, I would like to recognize the work that physicians do on behalf of their patients as caregivers and advocates. Physicians know just how much impact the uninsured can have on our healthcare system. In the wake of very uncertain economic times, we are reminded that the practice of medicine is a profession. Unlike retail stores, our customers (patients) MUST have our services at times, regardless of their ability to pay. If not, the consequences can be devastating. Physicians do not hesitate to step up to meet the needs of the underserved. For those with insurance, our physicians tirelessly advocate for their patients in an effort to have health plans cover the care that patients need regardless of the expenses. The practice of medicine is indeed more than a business.
As a physician, I understand the historical context of physician payment and how it has evolved over the past several years. Uncertain Medicare fee schedules have become a ritual with stop gap legislative "solutions" coming to the "rescue" at the 11th hour year after year. Even so, our physicians extend compassionate care to those who need it. They ignore their own concerns day after day to focus on the needs and concerns of others. This is what sets them apart.
It has always been an honor for MED3OOO to work with this special group of individuals called physicians. The quality of work you do and the commitment you have to serve those in need may go unnoticed and unrecognized by some, but not by the employees and administration of MED3OOO.
