INTEGREAT SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN OSMA'S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAM FOR EHRS
4/09/08
(PITTSBURGH) InteGreat, a MED3OOO Company that delivers EHR technology to physician groups, IPAs, and multi-specialty clinics, was recently selected by the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA), in Columbus, OH, to participate in the Standards of Excellence Program developed by OSMA to help physician groups make the EHR decision-making process faster and easier.
The OSMA Standards of Excellence Program is available exclusively to OSMA members and identifies vendors who have voluntarily agreed to include physician-friendly terms in their contracts with medical practices. In addition, these vendors provide the OSMA members with preferred pricing. InteGreat has been named to the list of qualified vendors that have been selected to participate in the OSMA's program. To be recognized as a participant in the OSMA's program, vendors must agree to meet the Standards of Excellence criteria including transfer of ownership of software licenses, amount and timing of deposits and payments, and the cost of future licenses. Also, EMR vendors participating in the OSMA's program must be certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT).
OSMA worked with The Coker Group, a nationally recognized firm that specializes in healthcare consulting, to identify terms and conditions that would help protect physicians' rights in the EMR contracting process and develop the program. “We are encouraged to see a vendor like InteGreat step up and participate in this program since they are a major player in the EHR selection process by large clinics and groups,” said Jeffery Daigrepont, a Principal with The Coker Group.
