MED3OOO CEO Named Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year"

PITTSBURGH, PA - MED3OOO Group, Inc. ("MED3OOO"), a privately held national healthcare management and technology company, recently announced that President and CEO, Patrick Hampson, is the recipient of the 2002 Western Pennsylvania Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Health Care Division.

This distinguished award recognizes Hampson's strategic leadership in the growth and expansion of MED3OOO, and his steadfast dedication to the company's mission to serve its communities across the country. Presented to Hampson at the "Celebrate the Stars Awards Gala," on June 28th in Pittsburgh, the Entrepreneur of the Year program recognizes entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Hampson commented, "I am honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award. However, this acknowledgement is a reflection of the commitment and professionalism of the entire nation-wide MED3OOO staff. It is their expertise and dedication that has established MED3OOO's reputation for high-quality and value-added services among hospitals, health plans, and physician groups."

Hampson's entrepreneurial background dates back to 1981 when he joined Professional Management of Ohio and West Virginia, a physician practice consulting firm. He led the buyout and expansion of the practice into the healthcare investment banking and data processing arenas. In 1995, Hampson then led the recapitalization of the company, and with a $25 million equity investment, founded MED3OOO. Under Hampson's leadership, the company is now recognized as one of the country's largest healthcare management and technology companies, with 1,500 employees under management, providing services to more than 2,000 physicians and hospitals.
