MED3OOO Care Management Committee

MED3OOO gathers physician leaders from our client groups to promote networking and engage in work focused on improving medical office practice. Primarily clinical in nature, agendas for the MED3OOO Care Management Meetings include the development of guidelines for preventive care and disease management, consideration of new approaches to care and concentrated clinical program development.  In working together, MED3OOO Care Management physicians from diverse practices ensure that guidelines and recommendations, which are based on the findings of established medical sources, provide the best approach to patient care.

To date, physicians at the MED3OOO Care Management Meetings have:

• Guided the extraction of clinical and registration information from the MED3OOO M3/IQ™ Data Warehouse.
• Finalized approaches to caring for patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes.
• Established guidelines for prevention and early detection of serious illnesses such as osteoporosis.
• Recommended a timetable and set of selection criteria for preventive services.
• Created office documents and flow sheets for implementation of approved guidelines.
• Prepared disease-specific education and information sheets for testing procedures.
• Identified opportunities to educate patients regarding the importance of screening and early detection.
• Enhanced revenues and patient care.

Physician leaders participating in the MED3OOO Care Management Meetings represent more than 250 medical groups and more than 7,500 physicians in managed IPAs from practices throughout the US.  The MED3OOO Care Management Meetings have become an important part of the value delivered by MED3OOO. Physicians representing over 1,000,000 patients annually attend.
